Tree Great Bonsai
Bonsai Q: I saw a tree on a rock umbrella. There were large thick roots. How do the roots go far?

It seemed almost a fig tree, which was beautiful and I want to prove myself. Any help? Thank you

Rock plantations in the art of bonsai is very unique and in fact, if done correctly, can add a very nice copy any collection! You must first if the desired facilities this seed. This must be done in the fall after a tree or plant has gone dormant, usually from October to November in this way be less stressed and roots to penetrate more easily. Remove selected plant and carefully remove any soil that has accumulated around the root. A toothpick believe it and not just for this, or has the bonsai tool called a "hook root" of this work even better. carefully "comb" the ground outside the root between feedings. Try not to break anything. After what has been done, take the roots and carefully shape and fall equally chosen on the rock (rock must be sufficiently small for this task and slightly ridged) and allowed to extend below the rock of his car. Before this, you should make a lot of land home. "Take a little soil, preferably sandy loam texture, but with a little more" clay "content better adhere to the roots and rock. This mixture will be its organic "glue". Mix this to a sticky, cement, clay, which was playing when I was young! … LOL. Take the rock with the roots formed on it and bury it in your bonsai pot. Take a couple of lengths of copper wire and rock bonsai over and roots at the bottom of the pan. Use the holes to drain below. This will keep the rock roots to grow. Report mid-way and form the roots spread at the bottom of the pan. You'll need to add the Bonsai soil in the bottom 1 / 3 first before doing this. This way, the roots have a good culture medium for starters. After burying the rocks and roots and son down, you can fill the planter at desired. After that, take your sticky mixture of mud and apply it to the rock and exposed roots coverage sufficient to cover manure the whole rock and roots. This will keep the roots rock and also allow for root growth medium. You also can buy spores "Foam" and sprayed on the mud. When it starts to grow, will hold the mixture together. When the water you want to use a vaporizer and mist the dirt at the point of immersion. You do not want to wash this crap, because it should remain around 2 or 3 growing seasons (this process takes time and patience). You probably have to do every day so that the roots do not dry. Even ground water pot as you would normally water from a potted plant. After a few growing seasons should be able to "wash" and remove the mixture of rock and dirty "Viola" will be buried with a magnificent rock draped over her exposed roots and soil in pots! You can cut some of the smaller roots liaison to display a bit more presentable now. I hope this answers your question. Added info: Some plants that are good for this root on the rock planting are: 1). "Cotoneaster horizontalis" 2.) Ficus 3.) Trident Maple 4.) Procumbens "Nana" juniper 5.) Chinese "ELM" … (one of my favorites!) ** Billy Ray **
