Keep the Makita 18V Li-ion cordless drill?
Hi guys. I just bought a new Makita 18V Li-ion cordless impact drilling – for a arm and a leg. I decided to fork out for something that will last me for years (with reasonable battery rotation) for regular commercial use. I did not use it yet. My local hardware store is having a sale soon Dewalt, when it could take back for a 18V 3Ah (NiCd) jackhammer impact. Is there anyone in a position direct comparison between the two? Is there a difference in performance and / or quality of construction? There are almost no reviews out there on the new Li-ion Mak, and certainly there are no comparisons with other brands such as DEWALT. Cheers.
Makita always been considered the CADILAC of tools, but because the price has been limited production. The DEWALT price and durability has been virtually adopted as the tool of choice for the construction industry. i currently own 2 14v Dewalt cordless; s and has set up a 12-foot fall from a roof, installing more than 10 pounds of 3 cover screws with no problems. My Makita 18v cordless I received by x-mas is still in its box. Didn't really care for the adjustment in the hand of large projects and heavy use.
