My Eureka vaccum model 5902 type AVZ 12 amp now sounds like a jet plane taking off. Why.?

I’ve taken it apart (no expert) expecting to find a hose or something disconnected. No luck. What’s causing this unbearable scream. It vaccums just fine.

If it sounds like a high-pitched squealing, it could be that one of the belt pulleys or brush is stuck in place, making the belt rub. Is there any burning smell? Have you tried running the vacuum upside down to make sure everything is moving well. Spin all moving parts to make sure they all move.
