how do I install a forced air heater in my house? already have one and going to replace it?

I have a forced air heater in my house. it is 35 years old and needs replacing. I was wondering if it is to difficult to do the job myself. I am very mechanical. Just a little scared of the gas. Later I will want to install a forced air conditioner system. Which will be new.

well you will need to make a plenum adapter so the old duct work will fit the new furnace its elementary work but the tools are specialized and you will need to know how to wire it gas pipe it exhaust pipe it this can be dangerous break down and spend the money to get a certified mechanical contractor there are many cities that require a licensed heating guy to do that work spend the money and play it safe
