Heater Defroster

What causes rough idle when the heater or defroster is turned on ? Thanks?

2001 Dodeg Neon has rough idle when I turn on either the heater, defroster or ac. Doesn’t matter if the car is cold or warmed up. Tuned up not long ago. Possible vacuum leak or electrical problem ? Thanks for your help.

Sounds like your IDLE is set a tad too low.
The strain on the alternator and compressor cause the rpm to drop, and thus causing a rough idle. this also burns more gas. I would kick the idle up a notch or two, Make sure it
idles at 600 rpm when in park. if it’s any lower, kick it up.
It will help your fuel economy also.
